Here's how to add a label to a sub-issue in Linear
- Access Your Issues
Begin by navigating to "My issues" in the left-hand navigation sidebar. This section displays all issues assigned to or created by you.
- Select the Parent Issue
From your list of issues, click on the main issue that contains the specific sub-issue you intend to label. This will open the detailed view of the issue.
- Open Sub-Issue Options
Locate the sub-issue within the parent issue's details. Right-click directly on the sub-issue to reveal a context menu with various options.
- Choose Labels Option
In the context menu that appears, find and click on the "Labels" option. This action will prompt a new pop-up window for label selection.
- Apply a Label
From the label selection pop-up, click on the label you wish to apply. The chosen label will instantly appear next to your sub-issue, categorizing it accordingly.
