Here's how to add a custom header and footer in Confluence

  1. Access Confluence Administration

To begin, click the gear icon located in the top right corner of your Confluence instance. This action will open the Confluence administration settings, where you can manage various aspects of your site.

  2. Navigate to Look and Feel Settings

Once in the administration panel, locate the left sidebar. Under the "Settings" section, click on "Look and feel." This will expand a submenu with options related to your Confluence site's appearance.

  3. Select Header and Footer

From the "Look and feel" submenu, click on "Header and footer." This will take you to the dedicated page where you can customize the content that appears at the top and bottom of your Confluence pages.

  4. Add Header Content

In the "Header" text box, type or paste the text, links, or other content you want to display at the top of every page in your Confluence instance. This is useful for important announcements or branding.

  5. Add Footer Content

Next, in the "Footer" text box, enter the content you wish to appear at the bottom of all pages. You can include contact information, copyright notices, or disclaimers here. Confluence supports wiki markup for advanced formatting.

  6. Save Your Changes

After you have added your desired header and footer content, click the "Save" button. Your custom header and footer will now be applied across your Confluence instance.
