Here's how to add a form view in Airtable

  1. Navigate to Your Table

    Ensure you are in the Airtable base and table where you want to create the new form view. This is the starting point for collecting new data.

  2. Initiate New View Creation

    Click the 'Create new...' button located in the left sidebar. This action will open a menu with various view options.

  3. Select 'Form' View Type

    From the dropdown menu that appears, select 'Form'. This will begin the process of setting up your new data collection form.

  4. Name Your Form and Set Permissions

    Enter a descriptive name for your form view. Then, choose whether it will be 'Collaborative' (editable by all) or 'Personal' (editable only by you). Click 'Create new view' to proceed.

  5. Customize Your Form

    In the form editor, you can personalize your form. Add a cover image, logo, description, and arrange the fields as needed to design an effective data collection tool.

  6. Configure Submission Settings

    Adjust the options at the bottom of the form builder to control the post-submission experience. You can set a custom confirmation message or redirect respondents to a specific URL.

  7. Share Your Form

    Once your form is complete and all settings are configured, click the 'Share form' button located in the top-right corner of the screen.

  8. Copy the Shareable Link

    In the share dialog that appears, click 'Copy link' to obtain the URL. You can then distribute this link to collect responses or embed it on a website.
