Here's how to add a number field in Airtable
- Access Your Table
Navigate to your desired base and open the table where you intend to add a new field. Ensure you are in the correct view to modify table structure.
- Initiate New Field Creation
Locate and click the "+" button positioned at the end of your table's column headers. This action opens the field creation dialog.
- Choose Number Field Type
From the list of available field types in the dialog, select "Number". This designates the new column to store numerical data.
- Name Your Number Field
In the field name input box, type a descriptive name for your new number field. This name will appear as the column header in your table.
- Adjust Formatting and Default Value
Configure the number formatting options, such as decimal places and thousands/decimal separators. You can also set an optional default number value for new records.
- Finalize Field Creation
After configuring all desired settings, click the "Create field" button. Your new number field will now be added to your Airtable table.
