- Navigate to Your Table
Open the Airtable base and navigate to the specific table where you want to add a new field. Ensure you are in the correct view to add new columns.
- Initiate Field Creation
Click the 'Add field' button, represented by a plus sign (+), located at the end of your table's column headers. This action opens the field creation dialog.
- Select Field Type
From the displayed options in the field creation dialog, choose 'Long text' as the type for your new field. This selection determines the data format.
- Name the Field
Enter a descriptive name for your field in the 'Field name' input box. This name will appear as the column header in your table.
- Enable Rich Text (Optional)
If you need formatting options like bold, italics, or lists within your text, toggle the 'Enable rich text formatting' option to activate them.
- Create the Field
