Here's how to add a date field in Airtable

  1. Open Your Airtable Base

    Navigate to the specific Airtable base and table where you intend to add a new date field. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to modify the table structure.

  2. Add a New Field

    Locate the "+" icon at the end of your table's columns. Clicking this icon will open a menu to add a new field to your table.

  3. Select Date Field Type

    From the list of available field types, choose "Date." This selection will open further options for configuring your date field.

  4. Name Your Date Field

    In the field name input box, type a descriptive name for your date field, such as "Due Date" or "Start Date."

  5. Choose a Date Format

    Click the "Date format" dropdown and select how you want dates to be displayed in this field. Options like "Local," "Friendly," "US," "European," and "ISO" are available.

  6. Configure Additional Options
