Here's how to activate social cards in Mailchimp
- Navigate to Campaigns
Begin by logging into your Mailchimp account. From the main dashboard, locate and click on the "Campaigns" option in the left-hand navigation menu. This will take you to a list of all your existing campaigns.
- Select a Campaign
On the "All campaigns" page, find the specific campaign for which you want to activate social cards. Click on the campaign's name to open its details and editing options.
- Open Social Card Settings
Once inside your campaign's overview, look for the "Preview and Test" dropdown menu at the top right of the screen. Click on it, then select "Social Cards" from the options that appear.
- Enable Customized Social Cards
In the "Social cards preview" window, you'll see a toggle labeled "Enable Customized Social Cards." Click this toggle to turn it ON, which will allow you to customize the social card appearance.
- Upload a Featured Image
With customized social cards enabled, click the "Upload an image" link under the "Featured Image" section. This will open your Content Studio, where you can choose an image to represent your campaign on social media.
- Add Title and Description
After uploading your image, fill in the "Title" field with a concise headline for your social card. Then, add a brief, engaging description in the "Write a short description about this image" field to provide context.
- Save Social Card Settings
Once you have customized your image, title, and description, click the "Save & Close" button. Your social card settings will be saved and applied to your campaign when it's shared on social platforms.
