Here's how to add columns to an email in Mailchimp

  1. Access the Campaign Editor

To begin, navigate to the "All campaigns" page and click the "Edit" button associated with the specific email campaign you intend to modify. This action will open the campaign's editing interface.

  2. Open the Email Design Editor

Within the campaign editor, locate the "Content" section. Here, you will find and click the "Edit design" button. This will launch the visual email design editor where you can customize your email's appearance.

  3. Navigate to the Layouts Tab

Once inside the email design editor, look for the top navigation menu and click on the "Layouts" tab. This tab provides various structural options for your email, including different column arrangements.

  4. Select a Column Layout

In the "Layouts" tab, scroll down to the "Blank layouts" section. Choose the column layout that best fits your design needs, such as a two, three, or four-column structure. Click and hold your chosen layout.

  5. Add the Layout to Your Email

While still holding the selected layout, drag it from the sidebar and drop it into the main body of your email design. A highlighted area will indicate where the layout can be placed.

  6. Verify Added Columns

After dropping the layout, the chosen columns will appear in your email. You can now proceed to add content blocks like text, images, or buttons into each of these newly created columns.
