Here's how to add a collaborator to a space in GitHub
- Access Copilot Spaces
Begin by navigating to your GitHub dashboard. Click on the "Copilot" button in the top navigation bar, then select "Spaces" from the left sidebar to view your existing spaces.
- Select a Space to Share
Browse through your list of Copilot spaces and identify the specific space you intend to share with a collaborator. This will be the space to which you grant access.
- Open the Share Dialog
Once you've found the desired space, click the three-dot menu icon next to its name. From the options that appear, select "Share" to open the sharing configuration dialog.
- Add a Collaborator
In the "Share this space" dialog, use the search field to find the GitHub user you wish to invite. Type their name or username, then click on the correct result to add them.
- Assign a Role
After adding the collaborator, click the role dropdown next to their name. Choose the appropriate access level (e.g., Admin, Editor, Viewer) to define their permissions within the space.
