- Select Your Frame
Begin by selecting the specific frame on your Figma canvas to which you intend to add padding. Ensure the frame is highlighted to confirm your selection.
- Enable Auto Layout
In the right-hand design panel, locate the 'Auto layout' section. Click the plus icon next to it to enable Auto layout for your selected frame. This action reveals the padding options.
- Locate Padding Settings
Once Auto layout is enabled, scroll down in the right sidebar to find the 'Padding' section. You will see input fields for horizontal and vertical padding values.
- Enter Padding Values
Click into the input fields next to 'Padding' and type in your desired numerical values. The first field controls horizontal padding, and the second controls vertical padding.
- Verify Padding
Observe your frame on the canvas. The content within the frame will automatically adjust, creating the specified space between the content and the frame's edges, confirming the padding has been applied.
