How to check website traffic in Ahrefs

Use Ahrefs Site Explorer to look up a website and review its traffic overview. This guide helps you find the report and interpret the figures as estimates, rather than a count of customer conversions.

Check the metric, date range and location before comparing figures. A traffic overview does not tell you how many visitors became customers.

Here's how to check website traffic in Ahrefs

  1. Open Site Explorer from the top navigation.
  2. Select the Domain or URL field.
  3. Enter the domain you want to investigate, then run the search.
  4. Review the traffic figures and chart in Overview.
  5. Check what the traffic metric represents

Review the metric label, date range and country before comparing websites. Organic traffic estimates describe search traffic and should not be treated as total visits or sales.

Your turn to show how it works.
