How to Keep Teams Status Green?

Teams automatically changes your status based on activity. If you're actively using your computer, the green status typically remains for about 5 minutes after your last activity. To maintain it longer, you'll need to keep interacting with your device or manually reset it periodically.

Microsoft Teams monitors your computer activity and calendar events to automatically update your status. If you step away from your computer or have a meeting scheduled, Teams will change your status accordingly. You can manually override this by selecting 'Available' again from your profile menu.

While you cannot completely disable automatic status changes, you can manually set your status to 'Available' whenever needed. Teams will still respect your calendar events and extended periods of inactivity, but regular interaction with the application helps maintain your green status.
