Here's how to enable the ruler in MS Excel

  1. Navigate to the View tab in the top ribbon menu of your Excel worksheet.
  2. Locate and click on the Page Layout view option from the workbook views section.
  3. Look for the Show section in the ribbon and locate the Ruler option.
  4. Check the box next to Ruler to activate this feature.
  5. Verify that the ruler now appears at the top and left edges of your worksheet.
