Here's how to delete a subtask in Jira
- Navigate to the Gear icon in the top right corner and choose Projects if the Delete option isn't visible for your subtasks.
- Select the three-dot menu beside your project name and choose Project Settings.
- Navigate to the People section in the left sidebar menu.
- Click the Add people button located in the top-right corner.
- Add your user account or the person who needs deletion privileges and select the Administrator role.
- Wait for the confirmation message stating "New people added" to appear.
- Return to your project and locate the subtask you want to remove.
- Click the three-dot menu on the target subtask to reveal the now-enabled Delete option.
- Select Delete and confirm the action when prompted to permanently remove the subtask.

Frequently Asked Questions
