Here's how to add a chat to a project in Claude

  1. Locate the Target Chat

  2. Open Chat Options

Once you've identified the chat, hover your mouse over its entry in the sidebar. A three-dot menu icon will appear next to the chat's name. Click this icon to reveal a context menu with various actions.

  3. Select 'Add to project'

From the context menu that appears, locate and click on the option labeled "Add to project". This action will prompt a new dialog box to appear, allowing you to choose your destination project.

  4. Choose a Project

In the 'Move chat' dialog, you will see a list of your existing projects. Click on the name of the project where you want to add the chat. You also have the option to search for a project or create a new one if needed.

  5. Confirm Chat Movement

After selecting the project, the chat will be moved. A small notification will briefly appear in the top-right corner of your screen, confirming that the chat has been successfully moved to the chosen project.
