Here's how to add a project to a portfolio in Asana

  1. Access Your Project

    First, navigate to the project you wish to add to a portfolio. You can find your projects listed in the left-hand sidebar under the 'Projects' section.

  2. Go to Project Overview

    Once inside your project, click on the 'Overview' tab. This tab provides a summary of your project, including its status, key resources, and connected items.

  3. Locate Portfolios Section

    Scroll down the project overview page until you find the 'Connected portfolios' section. This area is dedicated to linking your project with relevant portfolios.

  4. Initiate Portfolio Connection

    Within the 'Connected portfolios' section, click the 'Add to portfolio' button. This action will open a search field to help you find your portfolios.

  5. Search and Select Portfolio

    Type the name of the portfolio you want to add the project to in the search field. As you type, a list of matching portfolios will appear. Select the correct portfolio from the results to link your project.
