Here's how to add a project description in Asana

  1. Select Your Project

    First, navigate to the project you wish to add a description to. In the left sidebar, under the 'Projects' section, click on the name of your desired project.

  2. Go to the Overview Tab

    Once inside your project, locate the navigation tabs at the top of the main content area. Click on the 'Overview' tab to access the project's summary information.

  3. Access the Description Field

    Within the 'Overview' tab, find the 'Project description' section. Click on the text box that displays the placeholder text, 'What's this project about?', to activate the editing mode.

  4. Enter Your Description

    With the text box active, type in the detailed description for your project. You can include key objectives, scope, and any other relevant information for your team.

  5. Save the Description

    After you have finished typing your project description, simply click anywhere outside the text box. Asana will automatically save your changes, and the description will be updated.
