Here's how to add a project admin in Asana

  1. Access the Project

First, navigate to the Asana interface and click on the specific project you wish to modify from the "Projects" section in the left sidebar. This will open the project's main view.

  2. Open the Share Dialog

Once inside the project, locate and click the "Share" button. This button is typically found in the top right corner of the project view and will open a dialog box for managing project access.

  3. Set the Admin Role

In the "Share" dialog, find the role dropdown menu next to the invitation input field. Click this dropdown and select "Project admin" to ensure the new invitee receives the highest level of project permissions.

  4. Enter Teammate's Information

Click into the "Add people, emails, or teams..." input field. Begin typing the name or email address of the teammate you want to add. As you type, Asana will provide a list of suggestions.

  5. Send the Invitation

From the list of suggestions, select the correct person. After confirming the name and the "Project admin" role, click the "Invite" button to send the invitation and finalize their addition to the project.
